Library Freelance

This summer, along with the Bike Store, I designed some print collateral for the Calgary Public Library: One Day Book Drive – a collaborative effort with Dana Lissack. This project consisted of a poster, postcard and social media component. The poster shows the life of a book before it goes though a contraption (Better World Books). They resell the books and give a portion of the profits back to the library so they can buy the books they need. Biblio – an internal poster to showcase their employees love of books. I did the illustrations for the posters and then provided a basic layout. Gloria Essex over at the library finished up the posters.

Sasquatch! Collab

Jarrett Edmund, a talented writer for The New LoFi went down to Washington with a film camera and a typewriter to cover Sasquatch! 2016, much in the same way photojournalists used to operate before the advent of social (and digital) media. Upon his return Jarrett asked me to complement his analog festival coverage with little illustrations, and to help put together the book. The 15-page mixed-media booklet also features physical souvenirs from the festival itself. The end result is a tactile, physical experience.

From point b to p and everywhere in between – beep! Beep is a fun, but modern and professional car sharing service. They are marketing to the CEO’s of companies and offering a service that becomes a perk for employees, which is what sets them apart in the market. Beep is all about getting these busy professionals wherever they need to go as easily as possible, therefore I made all of my branding simple and direct.
